Catherine Louise Mills, 89 of Kennedyville, MD passed away on March 10, 2021 in U of M. Shore Medical Center at Chestertown.

Louise was born on January 8, 1932, daughter of the late Clarence 'Biddie' Luike and Catherine E. Hurfurth Luike.  She was a lifetime resident of Kent County where she was raised in Betterton until moving to Kennedyville in her late teens.  In 1949 she married Eugene J. Mills and together they raised 5 children.  She enjoyed listening to old country music, Elvis Presley, dancing, traveling, crocheting, sewing, and baking her Coconut Hot Milk Cake for the Kennedyville V.F.C. Bazaar.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Eugene J. Mills in 1985; her sisters, Jean Shipley and Dorothy Gears and son in law Joe Pechin.

Mrs. Mills is survived by her children, Shirley Pechin of Sudlersville, Gene Mills (Cindy) of Chestertown, Sally Hurtt (Tom) of Golts, Barbara Allen (Albert) of Church Hill and Eddie Mills (Vonnie) of Kennedyville; 12 grandchildren, Peggy, Sandra, Mary, Richard, Ron, Robert, Rodney, Roger, Bonnie, Jennifer, Tiffany and Clint; 18 great grandchildren, Kristofer, Nicholas, Bradley, Helen, Renee, Adam, Abby, Kayla, Savannah, Blain, Maryssa, RJ, Hunter, Jessica, Collin, Autumn, Daniel and Zane and several nieces, Phyllis, Regina and Linda and a nephew, Steve.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 16 from 11 to 12 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD where funeral service will be held at 12 pm.  Burial in Still Pond Cemetery.
