Obituary

Carol Ann Hanifee, 67 of Earleville, MD, passed away on May 13, 2019 in Christiana Hospital.

Carol Ann was born on December 19, 1951 in York, PA, daughter of the late Albert Hill Beasten and Mary Sue Copenhaver Beasten.  She was raised in Earleville on the Herndon Farm.  Carol Ann was a 1969 graduate of Bohemia Manor High School.  In 1970 after her marriage she moved to Galena where she helped her husband with his flower shop, Nature's Naturals Florist.  She was currently working as an office manager for American Home & Hardware which included 34 continued years of dedicated service.  Carol Ann was a past member of Galena VFC, where she was an EMT.  She loved her grandchildren and traveled hundreds of miles to see them compete.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, H. Richard 'Rick' Hanifee in 2004 and a sister, Barbara Jane 'B.J.' Emerson.

Carol Ann is survived by her children, Sean Hanifee (Alison) of Rawley Springs, VA and Molly McNatt (Jason) of Smyrna, DE; her sister, Donna Sue Shaw Brown (Harry) of Earleville; grandchildren, Evan & Brenan Hanifee and Jason, Lilah and Tanner McNatt; father in law, James Hanifee and brothers in law, Larry Hanifee (Peggy) and Steve Hanifee (Pam).

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16 from 6 to 8 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD, where funeral service will be held on Friday, May 17 at 11 am.  Burial in Galena Cemetery.
