Obituary

Carla A. Morgan, 59 of Chestertown, MD passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 5, 2026 at home.

Carla was born on March 15, 1966, daughter of the late Rev. Carl Hardin and Reba Ann Garrett Hardin.  She was raised in Delaware and at the age of 18 her family moved to Locust Grove.  In 1988 she married the love of her life Darrell Morgan, and together they raised their son and daughter.  Carla was an order specialist for REEBS Millwork in Barclay for many years.

Carla was of strong faith and was very involved with her father's church, teaching Sunday School, and singing.  Holidays were always special to Carla, and she enjoyed decorating both at home and at work.  She collected red trucks, wagons, and other trinkets, enjoyed the beautiful colors of the fall and being outdoors in the summertime getting a suntan.  Carla loved to shop; it was time spent walking around with family and friends, looking at different items and stores and always included a lot of laughter.  In all aspects of her life, Carla enjoyed keeping everything clean.  She always had a clean work space, clean vehicles and a spotless home.  What made her happiest though was spending time with her family, she loved being a wife to her husband, mother to her children and Mimi to her grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Reba Postles.

Carla is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Darrell; children, Danielle Morgan (Eric Tribbitt) and Darrell 'DJ' Morgan, Jr.; a brother Carl Hardin and his wife Jennifer; a brother-in-law, Wayne Postles; 4 grandchildren, Eric 'EJ' Tribbitt, Jr., Weston Morgan, Jaxson Morgan and Julian Morgan and loving nieces, nephews and extended family.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 12 at 11 am in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD.  Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna, DE.
