Betty Victoria Gustafson Unruh, 84 of Hartly, DE passed away on February 12, 2025.

Born in Chestertown, MD the daughter of the late Elmer and Jennie Gustafson.  She was the wife of Aubrey Ward Unruh.  They were married 60 years.

She graduated from Chestertown High School in 1958.  She worked a few part-time jobs in the bookkeeping field.  Her main job was being a homemaker and doing bookwork and secretarial work for her husband's farming and trucking business.

Mrs. Unruh's interests were taking care of her family, Bible reading, puzzles, baking and cooking. She attended Faith Community Church in Dover, DE.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Aubrey Unruh, sisters, Ellen Kelley and Jennie Rodney.

Mrs. Unruh is survived by three daughters, Wanda S. Unruh, Bonnie Lou Unruh and Dora Uplinger and her husband Ronald; two grandchildren Emory V. Uplinger Cook (Jesse) and Guy A. Uplinger (Ashley); great grandchildren Aubrey, Carter and Mateo; sisters Mariann Dulin (Frank) and Elma 'Sis' Myers; brother Elmer Gustafson (Marsha)and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on February 19 from 10 to 11 am in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD where funeral service will begin at 11 am.  Burial will follow in Calvary Chapel Cemetery, 11015 Augustine Herman Hwy. Chestertown, MD.
