Betty Rose Brooks, 88 of Galena, MD passed away on May 15, 2024 with her loving husband of 70 years by her side.

Mrs. Brooks was born on September 9, 1935 in Baltimore, MD, daughter of the late Charles and Rose Martin Coscia.  At the age of 18 she married Earl Brooks and they moved to Greenville, SC while her husband attended college.  They moved to Princeton, NJ for 3 years while he attended the seminary.  After his ordination with the Presbyterian Church they served in Muncy, PA and Clearfield, PA until moving to Kent County, MD in 1989 to pastor the Chestertown Presbyterian Congregation.

Mrs. Brooks was a devoted Christian lady, always active with her husband's ministries.  She was also a volunteer with hospice.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by 7 siblings; Naomi Pente, Charles Coscia, Anna Mae Coscia, LaRue Porter, Anita Coscia, David Coscia, and Paul Coscia.

Mrs. Brooks is survived by her husband, Earl Brooks; children, Michelle Henninger (Clay) of Shippensburg, PA and Michael Brooks (LuAnn) of Mechanicsburg, PA; her sister, Patricia Landavere of Baltimore, MD; 3 grandchildren, Kate Boyd (Brandon), Clay Austin Henninger and Tia Li Brooks and a great granddaughter, Abigail Boyd.

A private graveside service will be held in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Baltimore, MD

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Samaritan's Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607
