Barbara (Masten) Neri

Barbara Masten Neri, 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 3, 2025, in Charlotte, NC.

Born and raised in Galena, Maryland, Barbara was the fourth daughter of G. Wilbur and Emma Darlington Masten. She built a dedicated career as a Team Supervisor for the Department of Housing and Urban Development, where she worked diligently before retiring.  Following her retirement, she made her home in Lewes, Delaware, before relocating to North Carolina to be closer to her daughters.

Barbara is survived by her children, Terese, Philip, Michael and Dawn; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

She enjoyed reading, gardening, card games, her pets and browsing estate sales with her daughter Dawn.  Barbara supported animal rescues and local animal shelters.  She was fascinated with the show "Pitbulls and Parolees".

There will be a small graveside service held at the Galena Cemetery, Galena, on Monday, February 17 at 11:00.
