Barbara was born on July 29, 1947 in Baltimore, MD daughter of the late William E. and Edith Minter Curlett Sr. She was raised in Kentmore Park, MD where she graduated from Galena High School in 1967. Barbara attended beautician school in Baltimore and worked at a salon for several years. After that, she enjoyed decorating, collecting and selling antiques. Her home was even featured in "Country Living." But most of all, she enjoyed being a wife, mom, & grandmom who couldn't stray far from the water. Barb always wanted to be at the beach, swimming, or boating with her family.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother William E. Curlett II.

Barb is survived by her husband and best friend of 54 years, Elliot Klingman; children Wendy Lynn Sabie (Kurt) of Greensburg, PA and Jason Lee Klingman (Kimberly) of Bear, DE; 5 grandchildren, Emily Petersen (Adam), Brittany Sabie, Amanda Hogg, Kevin Sabie, and Jacob Klingman; 3 great grandchildren, Annabelle Petersen, Emmett Petersen, and Alivia Hogg.
