Alfred N. Solloway, 79 of Worton, MD, passed away on February 20, 2022 in Christiana Hospital as results of an automobile accident.

Alfred was born on April 3, 1942 in Chestertown, MD, son of the late James H and Rhoda Williams Solloway.  He was a lifetime resident of Worton where his parents owned a dairy farm, which he later operated.  He also worked for the Fry's, McHenry's, Horizon Dairy and most recently with Standardbred Horses which he enjoyed.  Al's passions were gardening, especially growing pole beans and strawberries, boating, crabbing and helping others.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a baby brother Frankie and a sister Betty Goldbach.

Alfred is survived by his daughter, Megan Faulkner and her husband Sgt. Rick Faulkner, US Army of Ft. Riley, KS; his companion Lisa Solloway; stepsons, Samuel Manning of Florida and Travis Manning of Worton; a brother, John Solloway of Mississippi; sister Doris Plummer of Silver Springs, MD; 2 granddaughters, Iris Faye and Emma Rose Faulkner.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 25 from 10 to 11 am in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, Galena, MD where funeral service will begin at 11 am.  Burial will follow in Chester Cemetery, Chestertown, MD.
