Abiela Joy Franz, a child of a military family, passed away suddenly while stationed in Japan on July 23, 2019 at the age of 10.

She was born on December 10, 2008 in Enterprise, Alabama, where her parents were stationed at the time.  Her family has made home wherever the Army has sent them.

Abiela is survived by her parents, Lt. Col. John T. and Tracy A. Franz, her siblings, Elijah, Luke, Korah and identical twin sister Shiloh Franz, her grandparents, Pastor Donald and Patricia Blad of Chestertown, MD and Jack and Barbara Franz of Rochester, NY.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 3 from 10 to 11 am in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD, where funeral service will begin at 11 am.  Burial will follow in Calvary Chapel Cemetery, Chestertown, MD.
